Dr. Lorraine Sgarlato evaluated my daughter for auditory processing disorder when we were just learning the scope of my daughter's various learning disabilities. Dr. Sgarlato's evaulation was extremely thorough and informative. She reviewed the evaluation with me very well so that we could fully understand what we needed to do to help my daughter to succeed with CAPD. In addition, Dr. Sgarlato has continued to assist us over the years with re-evaluations and guidance for accommodations in the classroom.
Dr. Lorraine is absolutely the best out there! When a special education teacher suspected auditory processing disability with our daughters, we did our research - Dr. Lorraine's name popped out as an expert in this area. At the time we were living overseas on an expat assignment. It was well worth the trip back to US - she opened her office just for us on a snowy weekend, performed a comprehensive evaluation and came up with a treatment plan. Over the following two years she followed their progress while we were overseas. Four years later, our daughters have improved their condition drastically and are now functioning as normal teenagers - they have confidence in their abilities to hear/learn the materials in class and have been on honor rolls over the past two years. We will always be grateful for Dr. Lorraine's accurate diagnosis and recommended therapies
